Goodbye Old School, Hello New School

12-5-2017
These two pictures are of the construction near the library. But as of Monday the 15th of may there will be no library.

The two pictures above are the corridors. But now the corridors here are gone but there is a lot of rubble. JUST FOR A CORRIDOR!

The pictures here are of near the old office. As you can tell it looks like an earthquake had just hit our school. This office used to be the most busiest buildings of them all. It had everything including the nurse room.

This picture is of the old entrance. We as a community all was used this gate now we can't

This picture (not including the trees) is a whole view of the construction. The whole front view of the gate is the best view of the school!

SONG

ROCKABYE

I like this cover because she expresses herself and I just love her voice

WIND

WHY DOES WIND EXIST???
Wind is caused by differences in the atmospheric pressure. When a difference in atmospheric pressure exists, air moves from the higher to the lower pressure area, resulting in winds of various speeds. On a rotating planet, air will also be deflected by the Coriolis effect, except exactly on the equator.

WHAT IS THE PHYSICS OF THE WIND???
When this air is heated up by the sun, it rises and is replaced by new cool air that rushes in. Usually, wind blows from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure. The Coriolis Effect is the curve of the winds to the right or left due to the spin of the earth.

GOOD EFFECTS OF WIND???
Wind energy comes from the sun. As solar radiation heats the earth’s surface, hot air rises and cool air fills the voids. This air movement is defined as wind energy. Wind that is harnessed via mechanical means is also referred to as wind energy.

BAD EFFECTS OF WIND???
Most of us know how powerful wind is and how devastating it can be when unleashed in vulnerable areas. But wind is also a valuable source of kinetic energy. Humans have harnessed energy from the wind for centuries. We’ve all seen the picturesque windmills gently turning in colorful tulip fields in Holland. Windmills have historically been used to pump water or grind grain and are still used for those purposes. But the more modern windmills that use a wind turbine are able to generate electricity.

CYCLONE COOK

Image result for cyclone cook

Cyclone Cook Was very destructive. Heavy rain, bringing possible flooding, and strong winds are forecast in eastern Marlborough, Kaikoura and Banks Peninsula, before easing in the afternoon, as Cyclone Cook continues south off the east coast of the South Island.

Wind

How I think wind is formed.
Wind can be formed by anything really.
I don't know what it can be formed by.
But I think it could be form by rain and the clouds.
Now it doesn't rain everyday ah? But it could do with the trees as well
Wind is formed by heat pretty weird ah?

We did a experiment today
This is what my project looks like right now without any chemicals.
